Spreading Excellence and widening participation in support of mass spectrometry and related techniques in health, the environment, and food analysis

The objective of the twinning project is to improve the mass-spectrometry based analytical skills of researchers and to adopt best practices comparable to the world‘s leading laboratories.

This will be achieved through a series of exchange visits between the participating laboratories, exploratory workshops, group trainings and collaborative research in the field of health, food and environmental  sciences.  The scientific content of the project is complementary to the activities of the  ISO-FOOD ERA Chair.

ISOSCAPE Summer School at Edmund Mach Foundation, San Michele All'adige, Italy, 1-4 August, 2017

The ISOSCAPE Summer School will take place at Campus San Michele all'Adige and is targeted to  to PhD students and postdoctoral researchers interested in learning more about the theoretical and technical aspects of assembling and working with large, spatially distributed stable isotope ratios datasets. The course will stress the integration of isotopes with other data types and methods within a geospatial framework. Read more...

Workshop for stakeholders: Application of stable isotopes for determination of origin and authenticity of food, 15 June, 2017

A workshop for experts from the Ministry of agriculture, forestry and food and the Inspectorate of the Republic of Slovenia for agriculture, forestry, hunting and fishery was organised on June 15, 2017.

Group traninig: Validation of analytical methods using ID ICP-MS, Ljubljana, 15-16 May 2017

The training was organised jointly by the Department of Environmental Sciences and the Institut des Sciences Analytiques et de Physico-chimie pour l'Environnement et les Matériaux and the Unversite de Pau et Pays de L’Adour (IPREM/UPPA). More information and the programme are available here.
